Welcome to ScreenerIQ.com.
My name’s Dan Shane, and I’m a full-time trader. I retired at 55 and now trade my own accounts, even when I’m travelling.
I’ve been trading for over 25 years and learning for even longer than that.
I’m a self-taught Trader, and along the way I’ve figured out what works, what doesn’t,
and where most people waste time and money.
Since I have more time on my hands, I decided to help new traders to avoid the many mistakes
they can make along the learning curve to profitably.
Mistakes usually mean losses. This is normal during a learning curve, but you can do without the
mis-information from scam artists that lead you down the wrong path. This results in not just loss of money,
but loss of a great deal of time.
I wish I had someone who helped me avoid the time and money lost going down dark alleys.
But I am greatful I have come out the other side, wiser.
What I’m Here to Help You Do
My goal with ScreenerIQ is to help you:
- Stop losing money to misinformation
- Learn how to trade with a logical, grounded approach
- Reach breakeven and figure out what works for you
- Ultimately, become consistently profitable
My Trading Style
I mainly trade US and UK stocks, along with some international stocks.
I’ll also trade big macro moves in Forex, Futures, and occasionally Crypto if the setup is strong.
I don’t rely on just one source of information. My strategy is a mix of:
- Macro views (what’s happening globally)
- Economic indicators
- Fundamental data (valuation, dividends, etc.)
- Technical analysis (price action, volume, breakouts, etc.)
I focus on two trading styles:
- Trend trading / position trading — holding positions from weeks up to a few years
- Swing trading — holding for a few days to a few months
I will cover information about both styles of trading, including Technical and Fundamental Analysis.
As well as the tools that I use that I feel I can’t trade without. For example a good stock screener and charting package.

I built this site to be the resource I wish I had when I started trading. No hype. No shortcuts.
Just real tools, tested strategies, and practical guidance.
I learnt to trade because I felt it was the ultimate way to have complete freedom.
